“Made in Broward" Interview

Individually, Clarissa is the owner of Precise One Services, Dominique is the owner of Nique’s Exquisite Accessories, and Johnnie is the owner of Noah’s Art but, they have come together to form Broward County’s premier networking company, “Made in Broward.” I had the opportunity to visit one of their networking events that took place July 10th.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Johnnie’s infectious personality who was seated at his business’ vendor table, Noah’s Art. An apparel company inspired by his only son, Noah. As I made my way to the meat of the networking event I felt overwhelmed with joy to see so many business owners in one space. Some were supporting each other by purchasing products from one another, while some were handing out their business cards/flyers. The first table I came across was “Boodah Blizz” by Jenny Pham, where she creates beautiful, homemade candles. I was then greeted by Ashley Dixon, the owner of “Driven 2 Conquer;” a business apparel for both men and women. Ashley will soon be offering training services for both men and women to help them target and prevent health issues. Last but not least, I was greeted by The Boujie Boss Collection, LLC. BBC sells a little bit of everything from lashes to assisting business owners with startup and creating business credit. But none of this would have been possible without the visionaries behind Made in Broward. I had the pleasure of sitting down with these three powerhouses as they shared their vision behind this networking company and their mission for all business owners. L.J: What is, “Made in Broward?”

Dominique: We’re not only a pop-up shop, we are a committee. We offer many different services, but everything that we’re doing is to help other businesses get to another level that’s beyond us.

L.J: It sounds like you all are an outsourcing company that helps other businesses flourish. What is it that you all are getting out of serving other businesses?

Dominique: Yes, we provide outsources but, we also keep everything in house. So, if you sign up to be a vendor with us, you have first dibs on everything that each company has to offer. The only benefit that we get from provding services to you is that we are constantly recycling, and if someone comes up to you and asks “who made your flyer?” The first person that you’re going to mention is, “Made in Broward” and that’s enough for us.

I love how Made in Broward’s core intention is to serve other businesses by providing on-hand services to other companies that might be lacking in resources. Sometimes we get so caught up in the rat race of trying to be on top or make money that we tend to lose sight of the vision. Continue reading to find out their vision for MIB in the next few years…

Clarissa: In the next few years, I see us as a resource company for striving entrepreneurs. A place that they can come to to educate themselves. I believe that MIB is going to set that tone in the community where we will start to train the business owners because, part of our package is that you automatically become a MIB group member. So, that’s where I see us in the next few years, as a source for thriving entrepreneurs.

L.J: What are some of the services that MIB provides?

Johnnie: We help businesses set up their LLC, create banners, provide bloggers, we also help you build business credit and so much more.

Made in Broward officially launched recently in 2021, and already they have had multiple networking events and helped numerous businesses thrive by providing resources to them. I can’t imagine what they’ll be doing in the next 3 years. Their drive to provide substantial services to business owners is truly inspirational. Made in Broward is currently in the process of building a website but, in the meantime you can keep up with MIB by following them on Instagram [@madeinbroward2021] to be on the lookout for their next networking event, and their email is “madeinbroward@gmail.com.”
